A special method of distributing and installing software to a computer. Multiple software programs that work together and is bundled and sold together as a software package. Various organizations have focused more on fulfilling their requirements through the purchase of an appropriate software package. The perception is that this is a cheaper, faster and more reliable approach to systems development. Hence the task is to find a package that fulfills user requirements or differentiate between competing packages that all appear to do the job.
